About Bluebells
Who we are
​
Bluebells is a charity offering a free support service in and around Ashford Kent.
Founded by Rachel Fowkes, we are a group of volunteers who feel passionate about supporting women and providing a compassionate response to those facing an unplanned pregnancy, considering abortion and those who have had an abortion, miscarriage or pregnancy loss.
​
Our vision is to provide a space where women feel supported and can make an informed decision about a pregnancy choice without fear, pressure or feeling judged, and provide support for those who have experienced a pregnancy loss or termination of pregnancy.
Meet the Bluebells Volunteers
Training our Volunteers
Our volunteers have attended training with Image, completing the Christian Pregnancy Counselling Skills course and the Image Post-abortion and Child Loss course .
Both courses are 60 hours and recognised by Open Awards at levels 2 & 3 and by the Association of Christian Counsellors as a pastoral care with counselling skills course.

Bluebells offer impartial advice information and support regarding pregnancy choices and pregnancy loss. We are not a medical provider so cannot offer medical services or directly refer anyone for adoption, termination or ante natal care.

We are not professional counsellors but can direct you to other service providers who may be able to help you.

Bluebells is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to provide a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. If you have any questions related to our GDPR compliance, please contact our Data Protection Officer or make a Data Subject Access Request.
All our support is confidential; therefore it will not be shared with anyone outside of Bluebells (unless in the rare case you disclose something that indicates you or someone else is at risk of harm. We may then have to inform someone, but you will be kept fully aware of any actions we take, unless there is a risk to ourselves, or someone else, in doing so.)
